Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Karla Crome talks writing Possession, playing Jess in Misfits & exploring history with horror
Q: What can you tell us about the show Possession and what people can expect from it?
Karla describes Possession as a fast-paced gothic horror with a strong focus on identity, colonial history, and a mysterious inheritance plot, anchored by a mixed-race British solicitor who travels to Jamaica to uncover the truth while confronting otherworldly forces.
Josh Radnor talks How I Met Your Mother, making peace with Ted Mosby & the pressures of fame
Q: Why did you feel the finale would age over time and how do you see it now?
Radnor reflects that the finale feels different as he and the audience grow older, suggesting that its themes of love and impermanence gain resonance with experience and heartbreak, and that serialized storytelling now reads with more emotional complexity.
#43 - PATRICK H. WILLEMS
Q: What is the goal for your filmmaking—juggling YouTube with feature ambitions?
The goal is to keep growing toward directing features, ideally with a clear progression from smaller, indie projects to higher-budget endeavors, while maintaining creative control and learning from each project to improve with every step.
#44 - TYLER BATES
Q: What makes a good film composer in your view?
A good film composer is in service to the story, collaborates openly with the director and crew, communicates clearly, and is willing to take creative risks while staying emotionally true to the film.
#39 - ARTHUR DARVILL
Q: What was it like going from Doctor Who to something as big as Legends of Tomorrow in terms of scale and energy?
It was a huge shift in vibe—very different working rhythms and production pressures—but it also offered a new freedom to explore a completely different kind of character while still leaning on the same craft, which was exciting and rejuvenating.
