  • Gordon Miller is a Hair Podcast God

By far my favorite hair podcast. Gordon Miller not only hosts the best in the industry, but his kindness, empathy, compassion, knowledge, and wisdom make him the most enjoyable person to listen to. Nothing gets me ready for work more than listening to an episode on the way to the salon. His conversations give you comfort that you're not alone and the insiration to strive for your maximum potential. The 2 series with Garren and Daniel Mason-Jones derserve an award. They're THAT GOOD! Episode #345 Sheri Doss, Head Of Education, Bumble and bumble
Q: Your title says you're the VP of Global Education—how has Bumble's education strategy evolved since you joined?
The strategy has moved from a highly exclusive, destination-based model to an inclusive, scalable approach that reaches a much wider audience through Studio Education, online content, and partnerships like SalonCentric, while maintaining the core craft language and hands-on learning.
Episode #341: Melvin Royce Lane, Global Creative Director Eleven Australia
Q: What advice do you have for someone who's behind the chair, wanting to break out of that mold?
Melvin advises seeking education from various sources and continuing to learn even after finishing formal training, emphasizing that education is key to growth in the hair industry.
Episode #341: Melvin Royce Lane, Global Creative Director Eleven Australia
Q: Can you tell us a little bit, maybe just about your journey as a hairdresser from your start to becoming the creative director for ELEVEN?
Melvin shares that he started as a receptionist in New Zealand and initially did not want to become a hairdresser. However, he discovered his passion during a fashion shoot where he was asked to style hair, which led him down the path of pursuing hairdressing seriously.
Carly Zanoni Creator Conversations
Q: What would you say to someone who is scared to post or feels overwhelmed by the work?
Do it anyway, do it scared. You cannot wait for the moment when you're like, oh, I feel great about this post. Every single thing I post, I am like, oh, this could be a flop. And some are flops. And that's how you learn.
Lisa G Creator Conversations
Q: How did you know when you hit your ceiling?
I always wanted a very full, eccentric life and I pay attention to my feelings about my career, changing when things don't feel right.
