All I heard was negativity thrown at metal and shredding and unbearable mouth noises before they'd speak.
A great once a week (or twice if you’re a patreon supporter) hangout with a couple of genuinely nice guys, who just so happen to be extremely knowledgeable and passionate about guitar gear. more
Hands down my favourite podcast. I've learnt a lot about new gear, boutique brands and the history of guitar tech. This has directly informed a lot of purchases I'm really happy with - great active Facebook community too & Very funny content.
I didn’t really click with this at first as it’s quite a casual and fairly unstructured podcast, but I’ve found myself actively looking for it every Wednesday morning because it’s the best place to pick up the latest gear news. Yeah, there are a few affiliations dotted throughout, but nothing that sounds disingenuous like some other gear related podcasts and YouTube shows. Joe, Matt and JD are alright too.
This is a good show if you can get past the 20-30 minutes of gibberish at the beginning. Whatever the topic in the title, they don’t get to it until late in the show. These episodes could easily be cut down to half the time but I guess they need to fit in more ads to make money. If you don’t mind listening to useless banter between the guests you can take the whole show. For the rest of us, skip the first 30 minutes. I’ve also noticed a heavy concentration of topics on their sponsors.
