Thank you
I love how the podcast is both informational and personal. It allows you to learn new things while also feeling the heaviness of the drug epidemic. The variety of topics makes each episode unique and helps you understand multiple perspectives.
This podcast is filled with impactful conversations about grief, loss, love, and education. I’ve been a listener since it first started and it never ceases to amaze me how unfortunately relevant the topics are.
I just started listening to this podcast. It accompanies me to and from work on my hour drive. I lost my sweet Jakob on 4/22/24 at 18 years old to a fentanyl poisoning. This has been such a nightmare. And listening to this podcast has helped me find a little comfort. The topics are so diverse but relevant. I often feel like the topics around child death steer away from some of the very real topics like mental health and overdose. So thank you!!!
Grieving Out Loud has touched my heart in ways I never expected. Listening to Angela share her story and give others a voice has helped me feel less alone in my own grief—this podcast is truly a lifeline. 💜

The show centers on personal loss from the opioid epidemic and uses intimate guest conversations to explore grief, recovery, stigma, and practical advocacy. Episodes frequently examine how systems respond to addiction, how communities fund prevention and treatment, and ways families navigate bereavement while pushing for policy, funding transparency, and survivor-led support. Notable strengths include a candid, empathetic host and a mix of survivor stories, researchers, and advocates that translate heavy topic areas into actionable guidance for listeners, potential collaborators, and sponsors looking to connect with health, nonprofit, and public-interest communities.
