As a late-to-the-party listener, something I really appreciate about the show is each episode can be enjoyed, no matter how recent the recording. I’ve binge-listened my way up to the most recent episodes now by way of dog walks, dishes, laundry folding, and travel. The show format hits just right as a constant in a world of chaos, yet manages to bring delightful novelty through fun topics and astounding guests! Love the show. Thanks for all the nerdy wisdom and laughs!
Easily my favorite podcast. Huge Helen Hong fan, but everything and everyone is great on this show. I'm glad it is on NPR as it fits so perfectly!
I love the light heartedness and very specific questions in the participants' chosen areas of expertise. But my favorite part is the jaw-droppingly amazing secret guests that are there to provide insight (and thrills) about the specific topics! It's so enjoyable to hear people nerd out about their favorite topics.
I’ve been listening to this show for several years now. It’s fun, it’s lighthearted, it’s hilarious and has some of the most surprisingly amazing experts on it.
Being a music nerd and then having Glyn Johns on, blew my mind.
I look forward to this show every two weeks.
GFY is a fun and funny show that is a great way to broaden pop-culture knowledge from the source. J. Keith and Helen are lovely hosts and the care in research is inspiring.
