I deconstructed my Mormon faith down to the bone—and when my dad died, the deconstruction shit really hit the fan. Now, Girlscamp isn’t just about what’s fallen apart, but about exploring what might come next. Around the campfire, we’ll swap stories from life after faith shifts, laugh at the quirks of high-demand religion, and dig into the ways Mormonism shows up in our culture—from pop culture an... more

My daughter Sophie served with Allie at Temple Square and truly thought Allie is one of the best! My daughter is nuanced like me so we are still trying to stay but I am grateful for your podcast that helps me feel so not alone. Fun fact: I went to Timpview HS with your mom! Please tell her Stephanie Self says hello if she remembers me! Great podcast - keep it up! We need your voice ❤️
One of my favorite podcasts. Listen to it weekly. I really appreciate how Hayley approaches various topics within religion and Mormonism. She really considers so many of the nuances to being ex-Mormon and also loving people as a whole. Very relatable. Highly reccomend.
Hayley is a breath of fresh air. I grew up with a lot of Mormon friends in Texas and I’m a recovering Catholic. Hayley’s take on deconstruction is interesting and I like how she “mixes in” other topics. I also appreciate her honesty. She is very relatable. I hate to compare her to Alissa Grenfell, but I can’t listen to Alissa bc she sounds like she’s so rough around the edges. I wish Hayley and her family the best of luck in LA. I look forward to hearing about the adventure.
Pushes away being so woke. Why can’t people be center or normal anymore?
I've never been mormon and I have never really believed in anything. Still, Hayley has gotten me so interested in mormonism and post-christianity. I love her honesty and her reflective conversations about anything and everything. Highly recommend!!

A candid, curiosity-driven show about life after high-demand religious beliefs, with guests sharing journeys of faith deconstruction, identity rebuilding, and reinvention. Covering personal narratives, therapy and healing, culture, and how faith communities intersect with art, media, and daily life, the program blends vulnerability with practical insights. Expect thoughtful conversations with diverse guests—from performers and activists to thinkers and survivors—that explore love, grief, resilience, and what comes next after certainty is challenged. A notable edge is the steady emphasis on empathy, self-discovery, and navigating family, faith, and community while rebuilding meaning beyond religion.
