那天清晨世界著了火，T站在大西洋中央，我透過觀景窗凝視焰紅，全身濕透。火將一切燒成灰燼，我向自己低語：你得抓緊了、別丟了，還要走很遠的路。
「如果有一天我要去流浪，不是因為我厭倦了家鄉，不是難忍這裡冬天太長，而是我終於得知了你的方向。如果有一天我不再感傷，不是因為我突然的成長，不是有天有人向我遞一顆糖，而是我終於走到了你的身旁。」

今天是我獨自環遊世界的第一千零六十二天，人在西非迦納。
「那是他們幾個月來第一次看見陽光，呼吸到新鮮空氣，可眼前是汪洋的深藍。那時十五世紀，許多被從村莊綁架的非洲人一輩子沒見過海，他們不知道大海是什麼樣的概念。
在他們的世界裡家鄉有高山、大樹和叢林，但是沒有海。波濤洶湧的浪，永無止盡的水，那麼巨大、那麼令人感到恐懼，許多人在踏上奴隸船之前便跳海自殺了。
歷史必須被記得，過去從未過去。我們得要記得，人類可以多麼殘暴、嗜血，為了權利不顧一切。」

今天是我獨自環遊世界的第一千零五十八天，人在西非迦納。
15至19 世紀，大西洋奴隸貿易時期約有1200萬名非洲人被送往美洲。其中近600萬人是經由黃金海岸，也就是今天的迦納地區出口。幾百年來這片土地被稱為黃金海岸，不因充滿溫熱陽光，而因她是黃金的來源、是免費的奴隸，是完美的聚寶盆。
殖民者掠去數百萬條人命，改寫了地圖、信仰、文化、語言、名字與未來，但有一樣東西他們從來奪不走，希望。
而他們不知道啊，那是世界上最強勁的力量。
