    I mean. Yes.

I’ll be honest I didn’t want to like Mr. Giannotto. Partly due to the fact I’ve never been able to spell his last name but also because I saw him drinking white wine (with ice) while eating boneless wings (looked like MILD sauce) on the Tuesday wing night at Buffalo Wild Wings in Germantown. BUT. I’ve come around. His coverage of the local Memphis beat (go Grizz!) has been nothing short of exceptional and I appreciate his fair, if sometimes frustrating, takes on Penny’s program. • Great job so far!

I was a little skeptical at first when Eric Hasseltine left but Jeffrey and Mark have picked things up without skipping a beat. They have been absolutely fantastic every day from 2-4 on 92.9!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 3 - Jeffrey Wright & Company - 20 May 2026
Q: On a scale of Dane Danger to Jordan Brown, where would Maxim Logue rank as a big man?
Logue is viewed as more similar to Dane Danger in terms of athleticism, length, and potential upside than to Aaron Bradshaw or Jordan Brown, suggesting he could be a significant contributing piece if he continues to develop with a full off-season.
Hour 1 - Jeffrey Wright & Company feat. Coach Norton Hurd IV - 06 May 2026
Q: What are your thoughts on Kingston Flemings and Jayden Quantaince for the Grizzlies?
The hosts express strong support for both players, highlighting Flemings' two-way potential and Quantaince's explosiveness, while discussing fit at six and sixteen and how injuries could affect their NBA trajectories.
Hour 2- Jeffrey Wright & Company - 4.30.26
Q: Jason, with all of the talk of where schools and conferences are going for the search for more money, how does it make you feel about where the University of Memphis is currently?
Memphis is in a precarious but potentially pivotal position, needing to invest heavily in football to elevate its profile while navigating the realities of a shifting conference landscape; there's a belief that true growth may come from football success and strategic partnerships, even if basketball remains strong. Jason emphasizes Memphis' need to think outside the box and pursue bold opportunities that could move them toward higher tiers or a realignment path.
Hour 1 - Jeffrey Wright & Company feat. Tim Murray - 28 April 2026
Q: What makes the Thunder a perennial example of effective drafting and roster construction?
They target players who fit a shared culture and schema, value players who peculiar fit into their system, and are willing to move pieces to maximize long‑term impact.
Hour 1 - Jeffrey Wright & Company feat. Tim Murray - 28 April 2026
Q: How do you view the current state of the NBA draft and its bust rate, especially for quarterbacks‑turned players in basketball?
Bust rates are high among top picks, but teams can still leverage contract structures and development paths to extract value; the draft remains essential for long‑term roster building when players fit the system.
