  • Exclusive BS Cult

I lived in an area where the brethren had a large presence, for a community that didn’t vote or believe in paying tax , they definitely took part in the process of democracy and attempting to affect our schools and public ammenities..

  • This podcast is so helpful.

This podcast is so helpful. It documents the generational damage that comes from a group’s coercive control.

Separating families, shaming, spying on, silencing, and tearing down the health and welfare of every human they touched all in the name of being good with a higher power.

This podcast and the amazing book discussed in episode 127 is something you will not want to miss.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Get A Life Ep.162 Part 1: Thieves in the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church and Audio of Bruce Hales
Q: So, Richard, what do you think about the implications of the voluntary disclosure and massive ATO refund?
If the other areas actually show fraud in rapid relief team or actual charitable bodies, they would be very likely to lose their charitable status.
Get A Life Ep.162 Part 1: Thieves in the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church and Audio of Bruce Hales
Q: Richard, explain to me if they're having to pay back the tax that they avoided, but the fringe benefits have already been taken, and they can't get those fringe benefits back, essentially?
They're now asking for more money from the members, so they're taking... The members are paying for this twice, essentially.
Get A Life Ep.159 with Jason Pittock Part 2- Leaving the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church
Q: What would you say to Bruce?
Thank you for convincing me to leave. You did a really good job at it.
Get A Life Ep.159 with Jason Pittock Part 2- Leaving the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church
Q: What would you say to those insiders in there right now that have their eyes open?
It's always a good time to do the right thing and make a decision, but you have to be considerate and plan. Everyone deserves a chance.
Get A Life Ep. 157 with Ex- Plymouth Brethren Christian Church Member Jolie Cooper
Q: What would you say to the PBCC hierarchy and priests to help them understand transgender people?
I would say to just imagine you're walking along the street with a pair of shoes on that's the wrong size. What does life feel like for you? Everything is painful, nothing fits. Just stop and understand people, just ask a question, look, I don't understand, tell me.
