This podcast is part of the solution needed as a requirement in all high schools and universities. The problem that needs to be solved is the indoctrination of teachers and college professors subject to Qatar’s decade long soft power influence campaign.
Update Jan. 2025. In the episode entitled Domestic Terrorism there is a suggestion that “stable family men don’t commit suicide attacks.” This is a similar claim Sam Harris often points to as fundamentally flawed. As he says, people in the west r... more
I’m giving this 3 stars because I support the Long War Journal and think everyone involved here does important work. But gentlemen, the tone has gotten absolutely unbearable. They guy who said “ever heard of Google” in the most recent episode is a child. You’re not funny and no one is listening to this to hear your jokes. Why can’t you just be professional and soberly address issues like an adult?

This program consistently delivers deep-dive analysis on Islamist movements, global jihad, and regional security dynamics, with a heavy focus on Iran, Syria, and the Strait of Hormuz. Episodes frequently feature policy experts and defense analysts who dissect geopolitical strategy, military readiness, and sanctions regimes, often connecting on-the-ground implications to broader grand-strategy debates. A standout trait is its reliance on veteran security researchers from a prominent think-tank ecosystem, offering rigorous, data-informed perspectives that skew toward practical policy prescriptions and threat assessment for decision-makers.
