  • Dead air

Always look forward to Cats pods. But this new one lacks proper preparation. Way too much dead air.

Not really sure what the purpose of the pod is with two sessions so far.Hoping it finds itself.

  • Too Biased for me

Love that Lingy is passionate but I want a pod that gives me accurate and expert comments. Unfortunately the pod is so biased it’s not funny. I know it’s a club run pod but both hosts need to be honest and not ridiculously one sided. Call a spade a spade

  • Thanks for a special season.

What a delightful combination of Lingy and MegMac.

It was a pleasure to listen to their mutual love of all things Cats and to their intelligent insights into the games.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

To The Final Bell | Oisin Mullin Joins, Looking Ahead To North!
Q: I just want to pose this question, this theory to you.
We discuss Bomber Thompson's idea that finishing a game strongly can affect the next week's start, and whether late-game ease can subconsciously influence how you begin the following game.
Mark O'Connor | Tim & Davo Show
Q: Is there a reason you tend to perform well in Adelaide, and what makes that venue special for you?
He cites the atmosphere and the energy of Adelaide Oval, mentioning how loud and passionate the crowds lift him and the team, and enjoying the crowd's chant and atmosphere.
Mark O'Connor | Tim & Davo Show
Q: How is this working with so many Irish players in the Cats, and what's the approach to bringing players from Ireland to Australia?
Mark explains that Geelong feels like home and that each club differs, but the Cats have a natural, welcoming program that helps players adjust and integrate into Australian football and the club culture.
Zach Guthrie | K rock Drive Interview
Q: What do you reckon about the upcoming Friday night clash and the need to bring out the claws against the Bulldogs?
The team is excited, acknowledges Bulldogs are in good form, and emphasizes playing their best to secure a win for Blitzard and the club.
Zach Guthrie | K rock Drive Interview
Q: Zach Guthrie, if you were asked by the Cats to be the flag bearer for the Geelong Football Club, would you be up and about if there was an opening ceremony for Gather Round?
Yes, I would be happy to participate if asked, though it wouldn't quite have the same effect as Olympic opening ceremonies; it's an honor I'd consider.
