  • Love the podcast, would love a “plus” version that’s ad free

Great podcast, love Alex Mayyasi’s perspective and the work he’s done on this podcast so far. I’m a long time Planet Money listener, check out the new book which Alex wrote. Would love a version of “Gastronomics” that’s a few $ a month for ad free; would love to support the pod and also I hate ads in the middle of the episode and will pay to avoid!! :D

  • Good premise

Adverts are so loud you will run off the road. That being said, the show itself is not bad. Definitely the hosts came prepared and are interesting. I really wanted to give 1 star for blasting my ear drums out on the ads though, the entire show suffers from that obnoxious junk. This is the first and only show I experienced this and I will not be tuning in again.

The guest emphasizes that forecasts are based on actual menu data and consumer claims, not pure guesswork. While not guaranteeing outcomes, the approach aggregates signals from thousands of menus, consumer surveys, and social listening to guide decisions, acknowledging that some items may be fleeting while others persist.
