  • Too much screaming at a mic

Good content but too much rage and ranting. Screams into the mic way too much. Shame they let Scott McArthur go

  • Dull

Pointless and meandering. Boring jock with an empty personality. Only reason to listen is for the informative James Mirtle segments, but if you’re expected to sit through hours of Scott Mac droning on to get there, you lost me.

Why has TSN snared one of their most knowledgeable analysts (Mirtle) to this random show? Give Mirtle a segment on Overdrive so we can actually hear him. No one wants this show. Literally no one is asking for Scott’s opinions.

    We can do better.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Goldberg on the Blue Jays' closer conundrum, Clement's offensive value and uncertainty around Toronto's rotation
Q: Do you think Corbin surpassed Lauer in the rotation and could displace him as the healthier option when reinforcements arrive?
Given the current form, Corbin has looked better and could be favored over Lauer as the team seeks reliable innings; until some of the returning players are fully ready, Corbin is viewed as the more dependable option to start and stabilize the rotation.
Goldberg on the Blue Jays' closer conundrum, Clement's offensive value and uncertainty around Toronto's rotation
Q: If it's a one run game in the bottom of the night tomorrow against the Guardians, who do you expect John Schneider to call upon?
The answer likely hinges on whether the game remains tight in the seventh or eighth; the team would prefer using Louis Varlens in that high-leverage spot if the game is on the line before the ninth, rather than saving him exclusively for the ninth inning.
Bailey on QB depth in the 2026 NFL Draft class, hype around Jeremiyah Love and favourite prospects
Q: Do you think Mendoza will go in the first round and how would you compare him to a current NFL quarterback?
Bailey suggests Mendoza has a ceiling close to a top-12 quarterback if he reaches his peak, similar to a Tennessee-era Ryan Tannehill, though he warns against overhyping expectations that he'll be Mahomes or Allen.
Game Play: April 21, 2026 - Hour 2
Q: What stands out about LeBron James's performance at 41 and how it changes the narrative around aging in basketball?
The hosts highlighted that LeBron remains a transformative playmaker and offense initiator, with leadership and playmaking that keep him relevant at a high level, challenging typical aging expectations in basketball.
Ocal on the current NHL playoff format, the entertainment value in the Canadiens-Lightning series, and if the Flyers can earn the sweep
Q: What do you think about the one-through-eight playoff seeding versus traditional formats?
Arda explains the appeal of meritocracy and fan engagement through a TV-friendly format, while acknowledging nostalgic respect for tradition and the potential value of experimentation.
