  • Too much screaming at a mic

Good content but too much rage and ranting. Screams into the mic way too much. Shame they let Scott McArthur go

  • Dull

Pointless and meandering. Boring jock with an empty personality. Only reason to listen is for the informative James Mirtle segments, but if you’re expected to sit through hours of Scott Mac droning on to get there, you lost me.

Why has TSN snared one of their most knowledgeable analysts (Mirtle) to this random show? Give Mirtle a segment on Overdrive so we can actually hear him. No one wants this show. Literally no one is asking for Scott’s opinions.

    We can do better.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Arthur on the Spurs' ability to learn on the fly, what makes Brunson's production so impressive and what to expect from Toronto as a World Cup host city
Q: What is your confidence level in Toronto handling six World Cup matches and related disruption?
The host and Bruce acknowledge real logistical challenges like traffic and event overlap but stay optimistic about the city's capacity to deliver a memorable experience if infrastructure and planning hold up, while noting potential prudence around costs and citizen impact.
Arthur on the Spurs' ability to learn on the fly, what makes Brunson's production so impressive and what to expect from Toronto as a World Cup host city
Q: Was that Wimbenyama's shove on Brunson dirtier than anything else going on with FIFA and ticket prices?
Bruce Arthur and the host discuss competitiveness and ethics, suggesting the moment is part of a broader conversation about spectacle, player safety, and the pressures around mega-events, with more emphasis on the sporting dynamics rather than a singular incident.
Shepherd on Wembanyama finding his physicality, the Spurs' composure and Anunoby's 'perfect' role for the Knicks
Q: Jets, your thoughts on Bobby Webster, given a multi-year extension as the GM and Executive VP of the Raptors.
Acknowledges Webster's winning pedigree under the Messiah regime, credits him with rebuilding efficiently and stabilizing the franchise, while noting some criticisms but emphasizing his role as an extension of a championship organization.
McIndoe on how McDavid's future impacts a potential Babcock hire, Chayka's most important decision and the 'good chaos' in the Cup Final
Q: Here's the question I want to ask you, Sean. Who John Chayka hires to be the next coach of the Maple Leafs, or John Chayka's actions during free agency frenzy, which is more important for the franchise this offseason?
The coach is important, but the real leverage lies in how Chayka handles the roster—draft, trades, and free agency will ultimately determine whether a coach can succeed, so the roster moves may be more decisive than the coach hire itself.
Game Play: June 11, 2026 - Hour 2
Q: How different is this World Cup going to feel with 48 teams and three host countries?
It will be bigger and more congested, with more matches and greater travel demands, which could favor teams with deeper rosters and better stamina.
