  • Ay yi yi

Listening to Carlo try and grasp for a word or complete a sentence makes me feel like when I watch my grandma try to find her solitaire app on her iPad. It’s a struggle…

  • Because

Jesus, how many times does Coco say “because” in a show. Gotta be a hundred. Insane nobody has told him to make an effort to at least limit it. Because is a space filler 85% of the time and isn’t necessary, BECAUSE I said so. I’ll deal with AK after we fix Coco.

Carlo and AK do a great job! Could be interesting for the dynamic if they added a third member. Still a great show though as is!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Talbot on being defending champs at the Lincoln Cup, memories of scoring the Stanley Cup winning goal & what Montreal needs to do to bounce back
Q: Didn't you score the Stanley Cup winning goal?
Yes, I scored the goal for the Penguins; it was a pivotal moment that defined my career and connected with the team's momentum.
Reaves on being O Dog's partner for the Lincoln Cup, why the Leafs struggled this season & being part of a young and exciting Sharks team
Q: Listen, that's a good job to have. I'd love to be Celebrini's agent. But just take us through what it was like playing with that kid the year that he had.
The guest described Celebrini as exceptionally advanced for his age, contributing in all three zones, showing physicality, and evolving into a complete package, which highlighted why his development this season stood out and translated into his breakout performance.
Wileman on Alphonso Davies' injury and its impact on Canada, if Davies will play at the World Cup & who will be Canada's starting goalkeeper
Q: How problematic is this for Davies and for Canada, Luke?
Luke explains that a four-week minimum timeline keeps Davies out of the opening game, makes a bench role unlikely, and suggests Canada will likely go with a goalkeeper rotation or a different lineup depending on fitness as the World Cup approaches.
Rose on the return of Addison Barger, why the Jays need more power from Vladdy & what would a perfect offseason for the Raptors look like
Q: What if, Aaron, this is the perfect offseason for the Toronto Raptors. Is that one where they stay the course or go all in on a potential superstar available in the trade market?
Aaron suggests that there is no single clear path; the team could run it back with current players, or explore trades to optimize roster fit, while being mindful of cap space, contracts, and the value of future first-round picks.
Gaunce on if Berube should return to the Leafs, why trading the first overall pick is unlikely & if the Habs can beat the Sabres
Q: Do you believe Craig Berube should be back as the head coach of the Maple Leafs?
The hosts and Gaunce discuss that it's leaning toward a return based on statements from management, but they emphasize evaluating roster changes first and ensuring the coach can adapt with the right support, suggesting the decision hinges on how the front office reshapes the team.
