What I really enjoyed about this podcast is the historical and cultural explorations of that time period. Also listening to the actors and their thoughts were always interesting.
The details and behind-the-scenes info this podcast provides are unbelievably fascinating. Will there ever be another series that elicits such emotions? Episodes 9 and 10 are a rollercoaster. So sad it’s “over.”
Excellent series. Episode 9 is everything a TV drama should be.
Shōgun is top 5 greatest miniseries/television events ever. This podcast does a wonderful job bringing you into the minds of the creators and actors that portrayed the characters. With the amount of detail and depth of story that tv show had, the podcast episodes could’ve been a hour instead of half an hour. Even in the time frame the podcast is given, the listener will a real deep dive into the behind the scenes of Shōgun.
