The hip are not respected enough I’m 13 and they might be my favourite band you listen to one song and you get hooked I was wondering if u guys could do a break down of grace too
I really enjoy the podcast but I wish there was some representation from all of Canada and not just the big cities. Maybe someone from a place like Saskatoon , a place that the Hip loved and wrote about , would have been a nice perspective to get in the Hip top 40. I would rather hear the opinion of someone from Canada rather than playing the old boring game of being so astounded that someone from the US actually likes the Hip. Still a good listen though!
You can feel the care that they put into celebrating the Hip. You like the Tragically Hip, you NEED to listen to this!
Let me tell ya, I have been a long time listener since the boys started reviewing the hip album by album. These were my reintroduction into the band after a pulled back post Kingston. Iykyk. It has been an absolute joy listening to those shows. (Also on this stream) going back to listen has been great BUT the new jam is the TTH top 40. Learning of fellow hip fans has been killer and hearing their stories has been bubbling up so many memories… sit down…. Make your top 40… compare and contrast. ... more
JD does it again! Another well thought out, articulate podcast exploring the fine details of Canadas House Band. You may not agree with where yer favourite songs come in on the ranking, but you WILL enjoy the breakdowns and the personal stories of Hip fandom!! Bravo

A thoughtful music-history show that dives into Canadian rock's iconic supergroup, often weaving in album context, live performances, and behind-the-scenes stories. Episodes balance deep song analyses with fan memories, production notes, and cultural moments surrounding the band, yielding a warm, community-driven listening experience. Noteworthy is the blend of musical critique with personal anecdotes, plus occasional theatrical and cross-border perspectives that broaden the scope beyond the core catalog.
