  • Pretty Good Podcast

I really enjoy the podcast but I wish there was some representation from all of Canada and not just the big cities. Maybe someone from a place like Saskatoon , a place that the Hip loved and wrote about , would have been a nice perspective to get in the Hip top 40. I would rather hear the opinion of someone from Canada rather than playing the old boring game of being so astounded that someone from the US actually likes the Hip. Still a good listen though!

  • Jump in or deep dive.

Let me tell ya, I have been a long time listener since the boys started reviewing the hip album by album. These were my reintroduction into the band after a pulled back post Kingston. Iykyk. It has been an absolute joy listening to those shows. (Also on this stream) going back to listen has been great BUT the new jam is the TTH top 40. Learning of fellow hip fans has been killer and hearing their stories has been bubbling up so many memories… sit down…. Make your top 40… compare and contrast. ... more

An Evening For Sara J - The Podcast
Q: What is it like having the combination to the vault of all this stuff that we haven't heard?
Patrick describes the overwhelming but invigorating responsibility of curating Gord's and Sara J's archival material, acknowledging the massive appetite from fans while balancing the need to preserve and present the best material for education and promotion.
The Tragically Hip On Shuffle - Live Stream: I'm A Werewolf Baby
Q: What makes this track feel different from later Tragically Hip songs?
The discussion highlights its sparse, two-guitar arrangement and the absence of the hallmark extended guitar explorations later in their career, illustrating Gord Downie's evolving lyric approach and the band's growth.
Fully & Completely: redux - Music @ Work
Q: Why is Music at Work considered a pivotal entry in the Hip's discography?
Because it marks a deliberate move away from radio-friendly templates toward more adventurous, artful experimentation, while maintaining strong melodic hooks and storytelling that connect with a broad audience.
The Tragically Hip On Shuffle - Nautical Disaster
Q: What's something about this song that a casual fan might miss?
A casual fan might miss the depth of Gord's lyrics and the intricacies of the musical composition, particularly the significance of the bass line and the absence of a traditional chorus, which makes it distinct from typical rock songs.
Sunday Evening Jam - Live Stream October 14th
Q: Where do you weigh in regarding the song reveal?
Toronto Mike questions the results, expressing disbelief that 'Grace Two' was the number one song instead of 'Ahead by a Century', citing its popularity and connection to fans.
