Sadly, Iain has become rather oppositional & patronisingly quashes too many of Tessa’s stances. Tessa feeds the unpleasant dynamic of the lesser seeking the approval of the superior. Despite both having perfectly valid viewpoints, Iain habitually interrupts & belittles Tessa’s thoughts. Tessa gives respect, but is reciprocated with very little. Iain increasingly insults those who disagree with him. Most disappointing given, not so long ago, he was the master of chairing respectful balanced debat... more
Have listened since the start (along with FTM), and it keeps getting better. The dynamic between you both has certainly got better. Funny, informative and o other podcast compares. Look forward to any live shows where Corey can’t ’cut that bit out!’
It’s a good job I read Iain’s Sunday email about Lord Ashcroft’s party, as I gave up trying to listen to his account with the constant interruptions. Sorry stopped listening.
Iain, please do yourself a favor and get rid of Tessa. You are going to lose your audience. I love your open, mindedness and balance on issues. You call balls and strikes as you see them. Tessa's unrelentless and distasteful bashing Of America and her inability to connect with her fellow Brit's because of her toffee nosed socialistic personality and her obsession with Romania should be enough for you to let her loose. Send her over to the two other anti American pontificating nit wits at The Res... more
Fans of both. But lack of chemistry between them. Tessa continues to make assumptions about Iain in terms of his politics and integrity in terms of who he is close to, who he has dinner with. Very frustrating and breaks the flow of a debate. Not banter but ill informed and lazy
