Are you truly “are are” Matt’s (and Chris’) team if you didn’t spend the past year completing the completitionist’s podcast from start to finish?? A hilarious show, with talented and funny hosts, an impossible show to describe to people without them giving you a weird look and my favorite part of my day.
Well..week now that I’ve caught up… dang it. Now I know what it feels like on Boy Island…
Once you get farther into the episodes where they found their niche, it’s a rollercoaster and worth a listen! Highly recommend.
Today marks one year since I decided to renovate my bathroom. To keep myself motivated while I worked I decided to check out a podcast I saw someone mention on tumblr and for the next sixteen hours I cry-laughed at Chris and Matt’s adventures through the Cave of Time. Since then this podcast has accompanied me on other home projects, while I do chores, while I cook, on long drives, through stressful days, and more, and it’s never failed to make me laugh. I also got my mum into it and now we sing... more
Literally one of the only podcasts that makes me cackle out loud every episode.
genuinely my favourite podcast. it's funny, but chill. just two brothers hanging out, doing something super dumb, trying to make each other laugh. i feel privileged to be allowed to listen.
also, the boys don't put ads on the show. if they ever wanted to make money off of it, or even just cover the costs of producing it, i would still support them wholeheartedly because they deserve it - but it is nice to listen to a show without obnoxious ads.

Two brothers dive into interactive fiction, reading every ending while riffing with rapid-fire banter, songs, and recurring segments. Each episode blends storytelling, improvised game mechanics, audience-driven corrections, and light meta-commentary as they chase all possible outcomes across wildly imaginative books. The approach is playful, warm, and family-like, with a strong emphasis on community input, humor, and musical bits that distinguish it from typical book clubs or gaming shows. Notable strengths include consistent chemistry between hosts, fan engagement through Discord, and a distinctive, self-aware style that keeps long-running episodes approachable for new listeners while rewarding long-time fans.
