  • Finally, a podcast that explains what no one ever taught us!

As women, we’re so often left to figure out our own health and fertility on our own. There’s so much I didn’t know about my own body, and honestly, not knowing can feel isolating and even shameful.

Fertility Café changed that for me. Eloise has this incredible ability to take topics that feel overwhelming or intimidating and make them genuinely interesting and easy to understand. I’ve learned so much about fertility, family building, and reproductive health that I never learned anywhere else.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What Donor-Conceived Adults Want Parents to Know
Q: What would you say to the parents that are making these decisions and are afraid to tell their children or don't know when to start?
The industry history of fear and shame has led to trauma when families withhold information. Therapies and open communication from birth are crucial, and open disclosure reduces later complications; empowering families to center the child's needs from the start is essential.
The Truth About Birth Control, Ovulation, and Your Hormones
Q: What is the true role of ovulation in hormone production and overall health beyond fertility?
Ovulation is essential for producing hormones like estrogen and progesterone; continuous suppression can affect bone density and the hormonal balance needed for overall health, not just reproduction.
What It’s Really Like to Be a Surrogate
Q: How did the COVID-19 pandemic affect the surrogacy journey, and what decisions did you face?
COVID introduced massive uncertainty; there was a termination letter due to the pandemic, but she pushed back with legal guidance and prioritized the baby's health, ultimately continuing with the pregnancy.
What It’s Really Like to Be a Surrogate
Q: What motivated you to become a surrogate, and how did you start the journey?
I loved being pregnant and wanted to help grow a family for someone else, so I reached out to an agency after meeting a surrogate who inspired me, and began the process once my daughter was older.
Surrogacy from Start to Baby: What Every Intended Parent Should Know
Q: When someone decides they want to pursue surrogacy, what are the major stages they'll move through from first call to bringing a baby home?
The process unfolds in phases: pre-work with the fertility clinic to create embryos, onboarding with an agency, matching and education, medical and legal clearances after matching, transfer and pregnancy, culminating in birth. The structure provides clarity and helps guide intended parents through each stage.
