《從田園騎往港邊的自行車》上下兩冊共800多頁，看似厚重其實親和，寫實派作家宮本輝鋪展了一張大地圖，將東京、京都、金澤的人們循著不同的因緣，分別帶往富山，他們原本各自安好的人生，在黑部川的沖積扇田園通往海天交界處，層層剝開隱而未顯的關係羈絆。
