Artwork for Faith Matters

Faith Matters offers an expansive view of the Restored Gospel, thoughtful exploration of big and sometimes thorny questions, and a platform that encourages deeper engagement with our faith and our world. We focus on the Latter-day Saint (Mormon) tradition, but believe we have much to learn from other traditions and fully embrace those of other beliefs.

  • Must listen if you value nuance as an LDS member

I love the perspectives of the various guests on the podcast. As someone who exists on the inside of the edge of the LDS faith I really love how Tim and Aubrey approach the nuance found in trying to maintain membership in the church but hold to those ideals that sometimes feel like they grate against Church teaching. The Grant Hardy episode entitled "Tough Love from the Book of Mormon," is a personal favorite, as are any of the Patrick Mason episodes. I highly recommend this podcast to those who... more

  • Inactive LDS, but LOVE Faith Matters

I am a devout Christian, but I stopped being active in the LDS church in my late 20s, I am now 43 with a beautiful Christian family and we are devout. I found my journey taking a slight turn in my late 20s when I was meeting my husband. We were able to find a home in a local Christian church and it has been an amazing experience. I still feel at my core, I am a latter-day saint, I just know God needed me to, take a little detour on my journey for the trajectory of my life. These faith matters po... more

  • A true gem

What a gift your podcast has been to me. I often find myself recommending it to others. I was particularly struck by the Come as you are episode. I keep on waiting for you to interview Fatima Salah and Margaret Olsen Hemming about their Book of Mormon For the Least of These series. I love your podcast and I love these books and would be thrilled to have them come together. It seems like such a perfect fit as we are studying the Book of Mormon this year.

  • A Better Saint

This podcast has helped me become a better saint. So many times after I’ve listened to an episode I’ve gone away thinking deeply about what I heard. I love how they are willing to deal with the tough topics of my faith and help me to learn new ways of thinking and doing. Keep it coming!

  • This podcast means so much to me...

It feels a little odd to write a public comment on something so close to my heart — how do you communicate with any kind of weight and depth in this format? — but I feel like I owe it to Faith Matters to contribute another 5-stars. more
