  • Cold shoulder for non F1 drivers

Don’t understand why folks subtly snub Hinch both the way other talent answers questions, the order of questions and in post production edit. Is it a Brit snobbery? Is it caused by Hinch’s day job on Fox TV? Don’t know but no longer enjoy listening. Looking forward to the F1 warmup/ pre and post qualifying and race shows where Laura Winter runs a great show and she promotes great conversations with Hinch and others.

  • Painfully Sycophantic.

This podcast has been getting increasingly tedious since Damon Hill left. Tom Clarkson is a Grade-A FIA stooge, which is infuriating beyond belief. The last straw is a review of the most embarrassing race I’ve ever seen, at Silverstone, which was an utter shambles and frankly disgraceful. This podcast needs to learn how to be critical of F1, its racers, and the FIA. We don’t want to hear three people pretend everything is excellent, we want to hear people discussing the actual pros and cons of a... more

F1 Explains: LEGO Drivers’ Parade minicars
Q: How did the idea of a driver-per-car mini F1 model come about after Miami?
The idea emerged from fans asking for one driver per car, which led to prototyping and finalizing a 22-car lineup to represent all drivers with individual liveries and numbers.
F1 Explains: LEGO Drivers’ Parade minicars
Q: Tell us about what you do for a living.
Jonatan explains that his role is to design large-scale LEGO models, focusing on brick shapes, building techniques, and ensuring the models can be scaled up for big builds, while collaborating with engineers and other designers.
F1 Explains: racing in the 1990s, snitching on Schumacher + unusual F1 records - with Damon Hill
Q: What was it like going from a front-running team to a backmarker like Arrows?
The view of the track changes completely; the challenge shifts from fighting for wins to extracting every possible performance out of a car that may struggle to compete, while maintaining motivation and hunger.
F1 Explains: racing in the 1990s, snitching on Schumacher + unusual F1 records - with Damon Hill
Q: What are the biggest differences and similarities between F1 now and back when you were racing?
Racing itself remains the core: the desire to win and to compete. Differences lie in technology, car complexity, and the volume of data engineers push to the drivers, but the fundamental spirit of competition endures.
