  • Cold shoulder for non F1 drivers

Don’t understand why folks subtly snub Hinch both the way other talent answers questions, the order of questions and in post production edit. Is it a Brit snobbery? Is it caused by Hinch’s day job on Fox TV? Don’t know but no longer enjoy listening. Looking forward to the F1 warmup/ pre and post qualifying and race shows where Laura Winter runs a great show and she promotes great conversations with Hinch and others.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

F1 Explains: Making the Madring
Q: What challenges does the mixed urban and track layout pose for drivers?
Drivers will need distinct setups for the faster, sweeping first part of the lap and the slower, more technical industrial-section later, making Friday practice crucial for finding the right window.
F1 Explains: Making the Madring
Q: What tyre compounds are expected to be used?
Pirelli indications point to the medium range tires, specifically the C2, C3, and C4, which will influence setup and strategy across the two-part circuit.
F1 Explains: Making the Madring
Q: Where are the most overtakes expected to happen?
The section just after La Monumental, followed by the left-hander that sets up opportunity for following cars to slip into position, with multiple potential lines through La Monumental allowing wider racing and increased overtaking chances.
F1 Explains: LEGO Drivers’ Parade minicars
Q: What does the production process look like from concept to track-ready models?
The process starts with small designs, then prototypes, and finally upscaled builds with internal engineering and testing, including materials sourcing, chassis, batteries, and authentic liveries.
F1 Explains: LEGO Drivers’ Parade minicars
Q: How did the idea of a driver-per-car mini F1 model come about after Miami?
The idea emerged from fans asking for one driver per car, which led to prototyping and finalizing a 22-car lineup to represent all drivers with individual liveries and numbers.
