Wow! I went to review this and realized that my review was tied to the OG podcast Estranged and Deranged. I want nothing to do with a podcast that sneaks in a new name, ices out the founder and is led by a man that wants to “monetize” on pain.
The problem here is that you are only thinking of yourself. I’m sure your kids didn’t want to cut you off. You chose not to listen and are now facing the consequences of your own actions.
I tried to listen with an opened mind until they started blaming estrangements on therapists, regurgitating mindless, tired rhetoric about participation trophies, and political differences between family members. These people have failed as parents. Take what they say with a grain of salt.
Two mothers with estranged adult children provide the listener with essential info in a relaxed conversational style. A must listen if you are just starting this disorienting journey.
Wow! It was so refreshing to hear someone put my pain into words. My friends and family don’t understand my grief. I just want to get coffee and hang out with these ladies
