Hi there, love this pod and the way that you unravel all the meaning and nuances in the show. Will you be recording one for the final episode of the first season? Episode 10?
I love listening to both of them with different views. Makes me want to rewatch all over to catch the little spots I missed when listening to them.
Enjoy your analyses, but wondering when you’ll finish the season? All of your previous episodes came out the day of (or within three days once). The season finale came out May 27 and it’s now June 3.
I never missed a podcast and in fact, couldn’t wait until the next one was out. Love the way the hosts don’t recap the show but give thoughtful details about it, Handmaids Tale and the book by Atwood. Knowing I probably won’t read the book, it helps to know what was written. Way to go Paul and Caroline! My favorite podcast this year.
With so much going on, I’m glad to be able to rehash and dissect this after each episode. Another great listen from pod clubhouse.

Two hosts—Paul and Caroline—dissect and contextualize adaptations and storylines from The Handmaid's Tale universe, with a focus on season arcs, character development, and the broader political vulnerabilities of Gilead. Across episodes, they weigh narrative choices, explore themes like power, resistance, and mercy, and repeatedly connect on-the-ground plot points to larger societal implications. A notable pattern is their balance of tension-filled analysis with moments of lighter commentary, making deep dives accessible for fans and newcomers alike. Their conversations often center on June, Luke, Serena Joy, Moira, and Rita, while also evaluating the storytelling craft (flashbacks, pacing, and dramatic reveals) that drive the series' impac... more
