Only one episode in and I'm hooked. Jacob and Lucas really know their science and present it in way that's easy to follow, even if some of it is pretty sciency. Some ideas, like obliterating certain heavenly bodies to acquire enough material to build a Dyson Swarm may seem completely improbable and reckless (and it may be) but they present it in a way that makes you believe it could work. Their ideas are well thought out. Their banter is fun and easy to follow. I look forward to more. (I liked t... more
My new favourite podcast, just finished my 2nd play through. It’s a thought-provoking show that tackles big ideas, making connections between science, society, and the future of humanity. I hope this show lasts long into the future because i can’t get enough.

Futuristic tech and science topics are explored through lively, idea-driven conversations. Discussions span hive minds, planetary defense, space infrastructure, energy from black holes, climate engineering, AR impacts, and megastructures, all with an eye toward societal implications and long-term futures. The hosts balance rigorous science with accessible banter, offering speculative yet thoughtful takes on how advanced technologies could reshape civilization, governance, and daily life. A standout angle is their willingness to entertain bold, far-reaching concepts (from Dyson swarms to planetary-scale cities) while grounding them in plausible physics and strategic tradeoffs, making it appealing for listeners who enjoy big ideas, rigorous c... more
