  • How engineering is shaping our world + Career ideas + Education

This show offers so much to engineers and non-engineers alike. It’s about how engineering is shaping our world in a fast, furious and exciting way. The enthusiastic hosts – with Mel taking the lead - interview engineers whose careers span a vast trajectory from working for the Royal Airforce; to engineers fighting climate change; to TV hosts. I’m sure the show is particularly popular with engineers (I mean the previous title says it all “Beer with an engineer”) but it’s also a great listen fo... more

  • Everything has changed but it has been like that since time immemorial

I just listened to the interview with James Pollock. He seems to have had a very interesting career so far, but as an engineer who has been in the profession since the 80’s I can tell you that what he said about change is nothing new. Engineering has always been a race to keep up with changing technology. I think that is part of the excitement. Keeping up with the latest advances in your field and implementing new technologies is always challenging.

  • Such an interesting idea.

I'm biased because I had a great time talking with Dom and Mel in episode 8 - but I actually have found all the conversations easy to listen to, and really interesting to see different engineering perspectives. It always helps to know what engineers are experiencing across the very broad industry, you suddenly realise you aren't alone in the struggles and highlights of your career.

A fun listen to while working or commuting!
