  • Love this

Love the variety of topics and particularly appreciate the flexibility with Podcast options for earning continuing education. I did not give 5 stars because 1) I find it complicated to get CE credit from the Podcasts, using my iPhone. 2) I wish there were more clinical application podcasts topics available.

Your Nursing Career Doesn't Have to Follow a Straight Line
Q: But Donna, tell us, how did you become the inspiration nurse in your journey truly to becoming the original nurse influencer?
Donna explains her non‑linear path from hospital roles to leadership in ambulatory care, then to teaching nurses how to market themselves and explore nontraditional opportunities, emphasizing learning through interviews and self‑study.
Reversing Type 2 Diabetes: What Nurses Need to Know
Q: What is the official diagnostic criteria for diabetes remission?
Remission is defined by three main factors: an A1C below 6.5 percent, off all diabetes medications, and a sustained period that varies by guideline (three months to 12 months), with length of time being a key differentiator.
Cultural Competence in Hospice Nursing
Q: Can you share a case where you saw a small cultural insight and it changed how you built your plan of care for that patient and how you built trust with that patient and their family?
A Buddhist family in South Florida kept force-feeding an elderly patient due to beliefs about nourishment in the afterlife; by asking respectful questions about their religion and preferences, I adjusted the education and care plan to honor their beliefs while ensuring comfort, which helped maintain trust and allowed hospice care to continue.
