  • Good perspective on Construction—stop the political comments

Jason does a good job( overall) carrying his podcast—they are never the same lengths some are in his car—closet—soccer practice and are his opinion usually—and read his positive comments before the start…ect. .( it doesn’t matter to me really ) I’m not a fan of his sarcastic approach or teaching—-at times and or his political or social bomb drops every so often.( I do not take marital advice from Taylor swift—and do not care for her actually) Jason apparently 100% loves her and her documentary a... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep.1558 - Technology in Pre-construction, Feat. Aaron Kivett
Q: How do you envision AI changing the role of estimators and the workflow for adapting to changes in drawings or specs?
AI accelerates the identification of wall types, materials, and assemblies, producing a mostly completed estimate that requires expert review. It narrows feedback loops and makes it possible to assess impacts on schedule and budget within hours, not days or weeks, while preserving the judgment and experience of seasoned estimators.
Ep.1558 - Technology in Pre-construction, Feat. Aaron Kivett
Q: What is your approach to pre-construction and where are you seeing the biggest benefits for the work you do at Stack?
Pre-construction is about connecting estimating with the rest of the project in a way that accelerates accurate budgeting and planning. The biggest benefits come from AI-enabled takeoffs and bid leveling that reduce repetitive work, increase speed, and free up experienced estimators to focus on strategy, constructability, and supplier decisions.
Ep.1540 - Project Changes, Feat. Adam (Beanie) Bean
Q: Can you help me mentally tie the theory of constraints to project changes?
If we're going to make an adjustment or change, it must be to optimize the whole and improve the global optimum.
Ep.1474 - Not Having the Right PM, Feat. Adam (Beanie) Bean
Q: What advice would you give for upcoming PMs?
Forget about being an expert, be a student of the game and study the industry.
Ep.1474 - Not Having the Right PM, Feat. Adam (Beanie) Bean
Q: How do we get the right people in the right seats?
We need to decide what that person looks like, focusing on communication skills and understanding flow.
