What an absolute delight to discover this podcast and binge like a madman.
Martyn Ware is an excellent host and interviewer who displays compassion, curiosity, humor, playfulness, nostalgia for the past, and a clearly sharp intellect. He clearly loves what he does and loves talking about music with his peers.

Highly recommended and deeply appreciated.
Really looking forward to cathi unsworth interview. She has written a brilliant informative book with a great musical and political perspective.. .. and I’m not even a Goth fan!
Unfortunately Martin was up to his old and irritating tricks of dominating the interview with his views and opinions about himself mainly which are usually rehashed every episode. Let the guest speak! I won’t be listening again as his interviewing ‘ technique’ never changes…
The host is very likeable on the whole, and when he’s on form quite amusing. But there are some really cringey David Brent style moments when he tells guests they can swear, then actively try’s to encourage them. Definitely wants to be seen as hip and outrageous at times, shame, because it’s very contrived like the luvies on the Graham Norton show trying to be cool, by swearing. The Kim Wilde episode is very good.
always informative and entertaining
