  • Delightful listen!

Such a sweet and entertaining podcast. Like listening to two kind friends enjoying each others company, sharing nostalgia, going in deep into literary criticism, and occasionally dropping an f-bomb or c-word. Like tea and a biscuit on a lazy Sunday

  • Like a good cup of tea

Like a good cup of tea, this is always an enjoyable and cosy listen. Love the comedic chemistry between these two. It’s feel good. I feel like laughing when they’re laughing. Even though I haven’t always read (or heard of!) some of the books, the summaries are interesting and you get swept up in it! It’s magical revisiting books from childhood and hearing what other people have to think. Please continue and thank you!

  • Proper 1% Podcast

Just two episodes in this was already a firm favourite. I unfairly wish they’d put out episodes fortnightly instead of monthly.

  • Almost injured myself laughing

I have cried laughing multiple times today as I binged this incredibly funny and clever podcast. Do NOT drive while listening; I'm sorry, people I almost ran over today. When Alisdair squawked, "I wrote it on a pig!" I fell off a piece of exercise equipment and lay on the floor laughing so hard I almost couldn't breathe (intense day, really). Thank y'all - this has been a hard year and you're helping me deal. Or disassociate, whatever.
