All evidence actually available, INCLUDING THE PERSON SHE SUPPOSEDLY SOLICITED SEX FROM'S OWN DESCRIPTION OF EVENTS, point to the announcement being total bullshit and them wanting an excuse to kick out Fabby.
Combine that with it not even being an Eidolon podcast starting at the main series and just banking off the brand she helped make popular to push a different game entirely? Fuck this. They killed any trust and goodwill that I had and ruined something I truly loved.
It’s an actual play podcast that’s using their own system based on tarot cards. This gives the events so much more flavor than just rolling dice and deciding “yes it happened/not it didn’t”
Instead you get variables like
- You are met with an equal and opposite reaction
- You are given cause to celebrate
- You exceed your own limits
- Something terrible happens
- You get what you want at a price you can’t afford
Give it a try. I can heartily recommend starting with one of the mini-seasons lik... more
Incredible cast, gorgeous original music, and endlessly innnovative storytelling and gameplay, particularly as the 2E system and Worst Self playbooks develop. Listening to a new Eidolon episode is the best part of every Monday morning.
All around a fantastic series of storytelling that I’d jump to recommend at any opportunity, speaking as someone who’s bounced off most every DND podcast. Harvey D. Godlove is my son and has never done anything wrong in his life.
Incredibly fun and entertaining, this has been keeping me sane at work for months. The players have really good chemistry and the gm is incredible, and the system itself is really good.

A long-running actual-play series that is actively playtesting a Souls-inspired RPG system, with campaigns spanning multiple genres from road-trip crime thrillers to cyberpunk and intimate, character-driven dramas. Episodes blend game design discussion, worldbuilding, and campaign play with deep dives into rules, pacing, and the evolving Threadspinner framework, plus frequent postmortems and creator notes. Listeners tend to value inventive storytelling, collaborative design, and the ambient production that ties music and moment-to-moment play into a cohesive experience. A notable strength is the community-oriented, iterative approach—often featuring guest designers, live-play experimentation, and a transparent look at design decisions—makin... more
