  • Thorough and Fair, NOT Biased.

Anyone who goes into publishing on political subject has an agenda. However, I feel Marty West does an admirable job of fairly presenting counter arguments without deriding alternate perspectives. He also takes the time to point out both the strengths and short comings of studies that pertain to the topic being discussed.

  • Great Content Needs Engineering

I love the content in this podcast, but it’s recorded with levels that are too low to hear without cranking it. If the engineering could be fixed it would be worth five stars.

  • Good but biased

I listen to this podcast every week, and I enjoy hearing their perspectives. I think they should do a better job of explaining that many of the policy positions they discuss are promoted by the center-right. This is not what everyone in education policy research communities is talking about, and the authors they choose to interview generally represent a particular perspective but not all ed policy perspectives.

  • Even better if they sorted out the sound levels!

While I enjoy the weekly discussion of educational questions, the sound levels for the presenter are so low that it's difficult to often name out what he is saying. If I'm walking down the road I might as well give up! This really could be sorted out. The person being interviewed is usually much more audible.
