  • Be careful!

Be careful guys, you’re going to turn off a lot of new duck hunters with this elitist “you’re a bad duck hunting partner” nonsense. You should be more welcoming and genuine, and helpful and encouraging.

You ask we Answer All Your Best Duck Hunting Questions
Q: How do you get access to private spots?
Be respectful and presentable, knock on doors politely, explain who you are and what you do, propose a one-time hunt to start, thank the landowner, and follow up by leaving no litter and showing appreciation; persistence pays off with a mix of nos and occasional yeses.

Get out there, start building spots, scout regularly, and leverage a trusted network to share knowledge. Over time you'll learn which public-land routes and private spots work best, and you'll understand how weather and vegetation shifts affect hunting. It's a long-term skill where experience compounds.

The group shot extremely well today, but there were some missed opportunities yesterday when the birds came in.
Duck Blizzard at the Kentucky Big Blind
Q: How did you feel about hunting out of that blind?
I was honestly, I was super excited. It's always been, ever since I've been waterfowl hunting, it's always been kind of a dream to hunt one of them flooded cornholes, and one of them big, big blinds.
