  • Peder Prahl interview

Why interview an alcoholic undignified buffoon with a big ego? Do you not read the news? I am a Limited Partner and could not care less about the opinions and macro views of an old clown who behaves poorly.

  • Love it, but…!

I love the podcast, but I kindly suggest investing in a higher-quality microphone, priced between 50-100 USD. The current static noise makes it challenging to hear the content clearly, requiring the surrounding environment to be extremely quiet. A better microphone would greatly enhance the listening experience.”

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Buying Well at Scale w/ Apollo’s David Sambur
Q: Tell me what sets Apollo apart from other large-scale players in the private equity industry in particular?
Sambur argues it starts with culture and investment approach: a unified, non-siloed operating model, industry-based sourcing, and a focus on returns per unit of risk, with a track record across private equity, credit, and insurance that enables alpha at scale.
New Normal, New Opportunities w/ Triton’s Peder Prahl
Q: What do you see as some of the big changes these macro developments have created for Triton, especially in Europe?
The changes include a more volatile but opportunity-rich environment where strategic buyers are active, debt is available but at tighter multiples, and long-time macro shifts push capital toward sectors with clear growth trajectories, such as technology, AI, security, and defense. Triton is adapting by focusing on value creation, diversification of deal types, and targeting niches with durable demand.
Infrastructure's Next Frontiers w/ Stonepeak’s Michael Dorrell
Q: What career guidance would you give to younger people entering investing or private equity?
Follow your general interests with hard work, listen to your gut about where opportunity arises, and stay flexible about paths; the most important factor is sustained effort in a field you care about.
Infrastructure's Next Frontiers w/ Stonepeak’s Michael Dorrell
Q: How should someone think about the shift toward on-shoring and friend-shoring, and what does it mean for infrastructure investments?
Shoring supply chains domestically or in friendly regions changes the risk profile and creates resilient demand for warehousing, logistics networks, and related infrastructure, especially for temperature-controlled and containerized trade.
Infrastructure's Next Frontiers w/ Stonepeak’s Michael Dorrell
Q: Where do you see the best energy infrastructure investment opportunities right now?
Gas infrastructure and LNG export facilities are top bets due to domestic demand and strong international markets, with electric utilities and certain renewables assets offering selective opportunities amid capital constraints and policy headwinds.
