I'm only a few episodes deep but I already really like what these guys offer. Very informal and candid; like a breakfast hang at 3am after a late gig. Phil and Jon share a wealth of knowledge that spans a wide variety of topics that can be informative to young players who are just on the brink of playing out on a regular basis all the way up to the touring/session professionals. These guys have a great, and often humorous, perspective on all aspects of drumming. Great interviews too. They’re super hip to the ins an outs of drumming.

Love the rapport between the host and his guests! And they cover a nice variety of topics for drummers and just anyone interested in learning about the music business.

I've been listening to Phil and John going on a year now, and their topics and interviews are always on point. Whether you just like playing drums for fun, or are an industry veteran, or are involved in a different area of the music industry, you can learn something from DWG. Keep up the great work!

I listen to a number of podcasts for drummers and I find this among the very best. The topics range from interviews, to situations to education to technique. I particulary enjoy when the guys focus on a single influential drummer and analyze their style and technique, plus recommend what to listen to and what to listen for. Drummer’s Weekly Groovecast has quickly become my favorite podcast. My friend turned me on to this show a few months ago and I’ve become obsessed with it. I just discovered these guys a few months ago, thanks to Dan Radin and his Drum Showroom podcast. Phil and Jon are great hosts, and cover a wide variety of always interesting drumming topics. Some of my favorite episodes have been the interviews: Scott Meeder, Lil' John Roberts, and John DeCristopher.

These guys are never boring - and LOVE drums and drumming. They are really dedicated to helping drummers improve their craft.

I started listening to the podcast a month or two ago. I have since listened to every single episode. I’ve enjoyed every one and appreciate The work that must go in to creating this podcast.

As a drummer who took up the hobby a bit later in life than is the norm, I look for information that will help me make up for lost time. This pod certainly does that in spades. In addition to the helpful and timely insight provided, I also find myself laughing out loud nearly every show. Being fun and informative, I will continue listening for the long term. Very entertaining and insightful podcast by two of the best drummers that I know. Informative for all musicians and music lovers, great interviews; I love the underrated drummer segments. Well worth your time. Check it out.
