This is a great podcast for a beginning or advanced drummer. It is a very interesting and well put together show. Why pay hundreds of dollars on drum lessons when you could just watch this? This is well worth the time to watch and is a must have.
Wow this is horrible! I haven't heard such a bad teacher. You need to be an intermediate player before you even begin to teach.
I really love watching these podcasts. Darren is a great teacher, and goes things slowly and methodically, using visual aids and demonstrations. He answers viewers questions, and recommends products, teaching aids and websites for viewers. I'm a beginner drummer, and even though some of the things discussed are advanced, I have found that I have learnt something from each podcast. These podcasts are technical enough for accomplished drummers to appreciate and are explained simply enough for self-taught drummers to benefit from also. Darren is big on talent and small on ego which makes him easy to listen to and he communicates his information well. His jokes however (see how to play the Chinese cymbol) need a little work. Overall though - Flamtastic!
