I generally enjoy this podcast, but the interview with Nate Morton (who’s work I barely know) is hands down, one off the most interesting and revealing conversations between two full time working musicians you will hear. As a part time musician (ok, drummer 🤪), I found this fascinating and a reality check. Also, a good distraction when you’re in hospital, post op, and your knee is giving you hell.
Great pod from another bass player and ex drummer! Great guests. One of the very few pods I subscribe to
The episodes are always inspiring and informative and I eagerly await new ones for my Thursday drive to my gig. I appreciate the variety and some guests’ point of view and stories resonate more than others with me, but I learn and take away something from each and every episode, and I encourage drummers to go back and listen to past episodes. Lots of golden nuggets to grow and get better with here folks! Well done Matt, Zack and Mike!
Great podcast guys. It’s fun and informative to hear your episodes as a bass player. I know and have played with many of your guests and I learn so much. Keep up the great work!
This podcast consistently knocks it out. Always learning something from the conversations, I really appreciate how the hosts are prepared and have insightful questions. It’s genuine and gives a perspective of what it’s really like to work as a drummer, build a career and even the tradeoffs folks make in their careers.
Thank you!!
