Driven Radio Show #341: Ken Huening of Cover Seal
Q: What advice do you have for protecting vehicles from rodents?
Avoid parking over sewers, secure garbage, and use traps to keep rodents away from your car vicinity.
Driven Radio Show #341: Ken Huening of Cover Seal
Q: Do you make custom-fitted covers?
No, we have general sizes that work best as they allow for better airflow, shedding, and don't impact the paint as much as fitted covers would.
Driven Radio Show #341: Ken Huening of Cover Seal
Q: How did you come up with the fabric design for CoverSeal?
I visited various factories to source the better fabric. We use a heavy-duty ripstop polyester that is durable and combines water resistance with breathability.
Driven Radio Show #341: Ken Huening of Cover Seal
Q: Why did you create CoverSeal? What was your problem?
I had a BMW i8 that suffered significant rodent damage, which cost me $18,000 to repair. I wanted a solution to keep rodents out of my cars, leading to the creation of CoverSeal.
Driven Radio Show #341: Ken Huening of Cover Seal
Q: So what was your first car?
Dad gave me a choice; I could have his Volkswagen Bug or next door neighbor was selling a 69 Camaro Super Sport. I went for the 69 Camaro after contemplating for about 50 milliseconds.
