Part of the Hagerty Podcast Network, the Carmudgeon Show is a comedic, information-filled conversation with Jason Cammisa and Derek Tam-Scott, two car enthusiasts who are curmudgeonly beyond their years. Proving you don’t have to be old to be grumpy, they spend each episode talking about what’s wrong with various parts of the automotive universe. Despite their best efforts to keep it negative, the... more

Jason and Derek have wonderful chemistry, boundless knowledge, and aren’t afraid to call OEM’s/products/trends out when they’re in need of being flamed. Always wonderful part of my week that I carve out time for.
Jason is a pro who seems to generally grasp what makes compelling car content, which makes it all the more difficult to understand why he’s chosen a talking quaalude for a co-host. With his total indifference to any topic and grating lazy vocal fry, he could just say “haaaaated it” to everything Jason says and the effect would be identical.
TBH, if JC wants this podcast to continue, and based on this most recent boring Hagerty commercial disguised as a podcast I’m not sure he does, Derek need... more
I want to like this podcast. I’ve listened to over 20 episodes and it’s incredibly boring. I think they need a producer or something. I also think Derek Tam Scott seems half asleep most of the time and has very little to offer in terms of conversation. I love Jason’s YouTube videos, but even he seems half asleep on this podcast. This seems like people doing a podcast who don’t actually want to be doing a podcast. I’m gonna stick to This CarPod and The Smoking Tire for my entertainment.
Martin Swig was the nicest guy in the world. He allowed me to run my 1969 Plymouth Barracuda notch back in the Anti Football Drive that was held every New Year’s Day back in the mid nineties into the 2000’s. He actually told
me on 3 occasions how pretty my car was. Those drives were SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! Martin always came over to check out my car and was really welcoming especially since I was the only muscle car out there. I miss that drive so much
Dang - forgot how great a car and dynamics communicator Randy is, almost like he does it for a living. Best episode since that other good one you’re thinking of
