Don’t know why previous reviewers had such a problem with the narration. I found her voice pleasant although the delivery is a bit odd. Not bothersome or off putting for me though.
The early episodes are incredibly dense with information. Names of clubs and where they were, names of owners and promoters and who ran which nights, more names of clubs or nights that changed hands...
I nearly gave up because as a UK listener, none of this really means anything to me. But once it got into the story... more
Possibly interesting subject matter , however the narration is wooden and drawling at the same time. Seems very artificial and guessing that it's AI generated. Cannot listen to any more. Please redo with a real narrator.
The narration is horrid. The style of this podcast is not what I’m accustomed to with Case file. Typically the podcast is structured in a way that they’re telling you the story and giving you information and each section builds on the other and moves you forward in the story. This podcast does not do that. It jumps around to seemingly inconsequential occurrences and doesn’t tie back how those occurrences contribute to the case that the podcast is based on. Someone wrote a podcast and then fed it to a robot to read. I couldn’t get past the first 10 minutes. It’s a shame a great podcast like casefile would ‘present’ this.
