Television Producer Adam Saltzberg shares the story he's never told publicly: in the early 2000s, while working as a casting associate on The Apprentice, he was also regularly visiting a cryobank - sometimes three times a week on his lunch breaks - as a sperm donor. At the time, it felt like a practical, even casual decision. But what seemed simple in his twenties would ripple forward in ways he n... more

  • Soooooo good!

Not having an emotional connection as a donor, recipient or child of donor, I have found this podcast to be really intriguing and entertaining at the same time. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, I can hardly wait for the next episode!

  • Good story, but focus is off

The story itself is interesting. But, seeing as this podcast is done by producers, it’s surprising the storytelling isn’t better. Karamo constantly interrupts, makes light and turns the story on him — rather than truly hosting.

Adam, his wife, his parents and his sister are far more affable and the podcast would’ve had better flow — and stronger storytelling with a better arc — if Karamo had been less domineering.

  • Irresponsible and Disappointing

This podcast is clearly made by television people chasing humor, entertainment and sensation, not by anyone bringing depth, sensitivity, knowledge or genuine curiosity to the subject. Karamo casts himself as a ‘guide’ through this unfolding journey, but he is one of the least informed, least prepared people imaginable to speak on this topic, let alone lead others through it. A podcast like this demands a host with real expertise in the realm of donor conception, not a TV personality playing the ... more

  • Annoying host

I like this show, but it would be way better with a different host. He’s self important and centers his own perspective instead of Adam’s. It’s almost enough to make me stop listening, but I like Adam, Lindsay & Sarah

  • Lighthearted Perspective

As a SMBC (Single Mother By Choice), this is an interesting perspective to hear from the donor side. It’s such a complicated journey, both emotionally, physically and spiritually that you have to remember to find the humor in the process. It’s weird. Isolating and super complicated for families on the other side. Thank you for bringing up the donors POV, in a fun, lighthearted and respectful way. Would love to hear from other donor dads for future episodes, particularly those who have a differen... more
