DodoBorne quickly made the list of my favorite actual play podcasts (and podcasts in general), right up there with Dungeons and Daddies and TAZ. It's funny, it's heartwarming, the table energy is fantastic, and the story is engaging. The audio is also great, which a lot of podcasts don't get right at first.
I can be picky about actual play podcasts, but this checks the production quality box AND performance quality box! The story is consistently engaging and the players are all creative and clever improvisers who have wholeheartedly embraced daggerheart’s collaboration. If you’re unsure on episode one, give it a couple more —they’re so short it’s a pretty low commitment. You might be surprised how hooked you become!
I started listening to this when I got into Daggerheart, to learn the system, and could not have been more pleasantly surprised!
It is SUCH a standout offering in the field, and I haven’t felt this in love with an actual play since the first TAZ campaign!
It’s by turns hilarious and emotionally compelling, the GM is fantastic, and every character is uniquely engaging! Could not recommend any harder.
Worth ANYONE giving a try!
As the title says hands down the best Daggerheart podcast out there. Isaac is an amazing talented DM, provides rules talk for listeners who might want to learn the game. The entire cast does a great job acting there characters. Great voice acting by the GM and players alike. Best of all they clearly have fun playing with each other. If you are trying to get into playing Daggerheart like me you should check it out. If you are a fan of other TTRPG actual play podcast you should check it out.
The characters are very cute and it’s easy to follow along. The CCs for this podcast are perfect too. Everyone makes cute voices and creates a captivating environment for listeners. Def recommend and have recommended to a bunch of my friends!
