Named a "Best New Podcast" in 2024 by Audible and Vulture. "This is no simple sports-recap podcast. Instead, each episode plays a bit like a dispatch from a foreign land — in this case Dodgers fandom — in which a local correspondent (that would be Parks) walks you through present concerns." (Vulture) Noted for its storytelling, sound design, and original music. A love letter to baseball and radio ... more

  • A fallen podcast

2024 season was one the best podcasts ever. But since then the ads are sooo long!! Ruins it for me. Then they did an episode about the WBC, but didn’t have even an average fans knowledge of it. Very disappointing.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

"Shohei's Last Trophy"
Q: Would you rather see a perfectly executed hard routine or almost perfect execution with a few compounding difficulties?
We'd likely value a performance that balances difficulty with reliability; in Ohtani's case, the combination of high degree of difficulty and consistently strong results could be more influential than flawless execution in a single game.
"Shohei's Last Trophy"
Q: Would you name a third argument for why Ohtani could win the Cy Young despite innings constraints?
The third angle is that we may see a convergence where the field slows down, with other pitchers regressing or getting injured, allowing Ohtani to maintain elite performance and press his case through sustained excellence over a long stretch.
“Inside the Pitcher’s Brain" with Justin Wrobleski
Q: How did you feel after hitting Andrés Giménez with a pitch?
Justin mentioned he was surprised by Giménez's reaction and clarified that he was not trying to hit him, emphasizing that he was focused on getting the batter out instead.
“Inside the Pitcher’s Brain" with Justin Wrobleski
Q: What was it like to pitch during Game 7 of the World Series?
Justin described it as the craziest moment ever, emphasizing the pressure and magnitude of the game, while also pointing out the adrenaline and focus required to perform at that level.
"The Justin Wrobleski Interview"
Q: What was it like being called upon during the World Series?
Justin shares his experiences and preparation leading up to pitching in high-stakes situations, emphasizing the unpredictability of postseason play.
