  • Needs some compression

Jeeeeez compress your audio tracks! Its unlistenable. Goes from 5 to 5000 randomly whenever someone decides to shriek into the mic. It doesn’t take much and its the easiest edit to make because its just a warm blanket that goes over the whole thing and makes it nice and cozy. Lower the overall gain and compress the tracks gently in post. Even, balanced, quality, pleasant, considerate. • This podcast fills the void that is the lack of representation of leftist ideology in the south and in doing so is a beacon of light. I may be partial as I am an anarchist from and living in the south. Though they are not the first and only or last, their mere existence fosters a beautiful community that brings folks together while simultaneously erasing the accepted narrative of the south being “a bunch of dumb cousin fuckers”. It’s a smart, funny and highly informed program.

  • Fellow leftist in TX

Honestly it feels great to not seem like I’m so alone in my views. It was hard growing up with an old school southern Democrat family. Sure they espoused left leaning positions but then race would come up and it would switch. Now after Obama and Trump they have completely switched to being OAN/Fox News types that blame minorities and slightly judge me and my Tejana girlfriend. Now I can see how many other southerners still support left positions and not view things through a racist lens.
