  • I love Rae!

As a chronically ill auDHD woman who wears an N95 everywhere I go and takes the ongoing pandemic / mass disabling event seriously, I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate Rae’s presence on this podcast. Not only does Rae make me laugh but teaches me *so* much, along with the other Proles. I’m reading volume 1 of Kapital currently and the Proles have helped lead me to this level over the past year. I love all of y’all, and THANK YOU RAE! 💜

I’m always interested to hear your arguments but could you please do an episode in debate with some pro-market libertarians? Hearing your response to challenge would heighten credibility.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 107 - Prison, Innocence, and Love In Revolution (w/ Jean Paul Fartre)
Q: How might abolition operate differently across stages of a revolutionary process?
Abolition may require evolving policies like universal social spending and different governance models at each stage, with flexibility to protect organizing momentum while progressively transforming institutions rather than applying a one-size-fits-all solution.
Ep 107 - Prison, Innocence, and Love In Revolution (w/ Jean Paul Fartre)
Q: What is the core idea of abolition in this framework, and how does it differ from traditional punishment?
Abolition is framed as removing punishment for punishment's sake and replacing carceral logic with structures that expand opportunities, address underlying harms, and reduce violence, rather than merely penalizing people.
Ep 103 - Laos and People's Democracy (Ft. Holly High)
Q: What led you to study Laos?
Holly explains her path from Australian studies to anthropology, her time in Vietnam, exposure to radical ideas, and how her interest evolved into in-depth Laos research.
Ep 103 - Laos and People's Democracy (Ft. Holly High)
Q: But first, who do you have with us today?
Holly High is introduced as the guest expert and begins sharing her background and why she studies Laos, setting up the discussion.
Ep 100 - 100th Episode Ask Us Anything
Q: What's next for the Proles? What do you see yourselves covering in the next 100 episodes?
We want to focus on more roundtable discussions, educational formats, and improve our Patreon content, possibly introducing struggle sessions.
