  • “Get in kid” Lenin T-shirt.

Update: bought the updated version plus another one. Thank you boys, happy pride!!!

Idk if y’all read these? But I want the shirt and it’s huge (do you have prints on women’s t-shirt cuts?) and the graphic needs to be sized down slightly so high waisted denim doesn’t cover it. My jeans are up to my belly button, it’ll cover the important parts of the t-shirt. I guess I’ll see what I can do with my sewing machine to alter it? Womp womp.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 230 - Cuba Libre (Ft. Abby Martin & Matt Belen)
Q: What editing choices were key to maintaining engagement while conveying a complex political message?
The editor explains using archival footage and selective imagery to heighten emotional impact and to illustrate Diaz-Canel's points, aiming for a visually compelling narrative that remains informative.
Episode 230 - Cuba Libre (Ft. Abby Martin & Matt Belen)
Q: What is the rationale for focusing on sanctions rather than criticizing Cuba's governance in the film's framing?
They argue that the sanctions are the primary driver of hardship and that contextualizing Cubans' experiences shows the real constraints they face, rather than attributing blame to the Cuban government.
Episode 230 - Cuba Libre (Ft. Abby Martin & Matt Belen)
Q: How did you land the Cuban president's interview and why was it important to get that perspective directly at this moment?
The guests explain their long-standing coverage of Cuba, credibility with Cuban officials, and the belief that direct access to leadership offers a counter-narrative to Western media frames, allowing Cubans to speak for themselves.
Episode 220 - Epstein and Eugenics
Q: How can you talk about declining intelligence without it turning into elitism or eugenics?
By emphasizing that intelligence is a social function affected by environmental conditions, not a biological defect.
Episode 220 - Epstein and Eugenics
Q: If people have more access to information than ever before, why aren't they more educated instead of less sloppification of everything?
The access was never the problem. It was the ability to engage critically and contextually with that information, which has been suppressed by profit motives.
