  • Gebroe rules

Dave Gebroe is one of the most insightful, passionate and smartest interviewers I’ve heard. he thinks way outside the box comes at his subjects from unexpected angles. I listen to a lot of podcasts. Discograffiti informs and entertains me with shows on artists I love and introduces me and piques my interest in those that are new to me. bravo!

  • The Gold Standard

This should be the podcast by which all other podcasts are measured. I have been enthralled and engaged in the detailed facts that go into every episode. I have actually listened to the same episodes repeatedly simply out of sheer enjoyment. I have found myself not being able to listen to other music podcasts now because they seem so amateurish compared to Discograffiti. But that’s okay, Discograffiti provides more than enough and is well worth listening to. P.s. - “And Your Dreams Come True” w... more

  • Hardest working man in podcasting

Dave puts the labor in labor of love. The dude comes so prepared to every interview - his depth of knowledge is astounding and his deep and sincere interest in his subjects comes across every time. Prepared meets earnest meets going deeper than anyone on the internet. Cheers, Dave.

  • Interviews where the interviewer does 98% of the talking

The podcast covers the kind of music that I like and they nab excellent guests but the host is a strong contender for worst interviewer in the entire podcast industry. Every time he interviews a guest who I am interested in, he ruins the listening experience by doing 98% of the talking. He never gives his guests space to breathe, opines as nauseam with ridiculous pre-written. commentary on the music being discussed, asks 5 minute long “questions” that are, in actuality, opinions disguised as qu... more
