I thought the title was irony. Turns out that it actually is a lot of complaining without the analysis to back it up.
Stumbled on this pod when down a rabbithole of a UK artist and have listened to plenty of episodes since. I’m always interested in US viewpoint of albums considered “institutional” in the UK for my generation. To be fair to them, they may rip into artists and albums but, on the whole they give a balanced and mature verdict which shows an ability to contextualise the albums in a wider context. Would maybe like to hear more female input along the way but that may just be a coincidence of the episo... more
