  • Good info. Bad audio.

This podcast is very informative and entertaining. But the audio is really terrible. You can barely hear some of the guests or even one of the hosts sometimes. It sounds like they or whispering or standing across the room. I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear one person speak. When the host speaks- turn it back down. If someone laughs- get an ears blasted.

  • Love the concept but the audio is bad

I just found this podcast and I have been binge listening to it and love it. However the audio is really bad.

For the most part, I can hear Joan, but Allison’s audio is just completely inaudible. She either mumble talks or sits 10 ft away from her microphone.

It’s quite annoying to turn up my car audio to the highest and it creates uneven loud/ low audio as Joan’s already audible audio becomes extra loud and the Allison’s is finally audible. Please fix it, thanks!

John Farris, Physical Therapist: Caring for Our Bodies During Gardening
Q: And I'm going to have to dig a lot of holes in just a few weeks. So we would really love your advice on how to not get hurt.
Dr. Farris emphasizes treating gardening like a sport: start with a warm-up, assess what movements cause pain, break tasks into smaller sessions, and alternate positions and tools to reduce repetitive stress on the back, shoulders, and elbows.
Levi Trembly of Levi's Dahlias with Plant Biologist Mike Qiu
Q: How do you decide when to release a seedling to resellers or sell direct?
After sufficient testing to confirm stability and virus-free status, a seedling may be given to trusted resellers for a trial year before deciding on broader release.
Levi Trembly of Levi's Dahlias with Plant Biologist Mike Qiu
Q: What traits are you prioritizing when selecting hybrids for release?
Color remains the primary driver, with a strong emphasis on bloom production and color variety; form and show-flower traits become secondary.
Levi Trembly of Levi's Dahlias with Plant Biologist Mike Qiu
Q: How many plants do you typically grow and how do you manage space for seedling propagation?
Levi explains he raises hundreds of seedlings (roughly 800 to 900), culling the weaker ones due to space limits, and focuses on maintaining only strong candidates for propagation.
Dr. Jan Gawthrop of Oldoc Dahlias
Q: Did you have a mentor along the way?
I found a club, the Elkhart Dahlia Society, and they became my mentors, providing me encouragement.
