I find this a very helpful podcast to support my Dietetic CPD. The only other feedback I would have is to ask the presenters to slow down their delivery a bit, as I find it hard to follow when they speak very fast.

Great way to keep on top of new research and ideas or refresh your understanding. Pushes you to think outside your routines. And the presenters are always one step ahead asking the questions I want answers too. Fantastic way to upskill whilst on the road.

PCOS: Busting myths, boosting fertility & managing symptoms
Q: Can you explain how PCOS does affect fertility and what the evidence says about how women can improve their reproductive outcomes?
PCOS affects the hormonal balance and ovulation, leading to fewer ovulations and fertility challenges, but improving insulin sensitivity can help manage symptoms and improve chances of conception.
Childhood obesity through a weight-inclusive lens
Q: What does weight stigma look like in childhood? And how can it show up in clinical practice even unintentionally?
Weight stigma can lead to assumptions about health based solely on size, which can result in harmful treatment. Larger bodies are often wrongly assumed to be unhealthy, which can convey shame to children without any valid medical reasoning.

Q: How does continuous glucose monitoring support this very personalised approach to nutrition care?
CGM really has completely changed the way that we can approach nutrition in Type 1 by providing insights about blood glucose trends over time.
What’s new in diabetes tech?
Q: How has the management of diabetes evolved from your perspective across both type 1 and type 2?
The tech developments in the type 1 space have been absolutely phenomenal, particularly in the last few years.
Raising the standard with dietitians in aged care
Q: What are some tools or systems that facilities are currently using to support 24-7 access to food?
Facilities are discussing options like portion-controlled foods, ready-made meals and options for texture-modified diets to ensure food is accessible at all times.
